New Year Means New Beginnings

I don’t normally get into the whole new year thing, it’s just another day after all. In the greater scheme of things the date ticking over doesn’t really mean anything except for what we make it. However, this year is different. I made some decisions in 2009 and 2010 is the year that is going to make those decisions happen.

Looking back, I haven’t really achieved anything in a while. I’ve been coasting and as a result I’m not 100% happy with where I am so I have decided it’s time to change, and what better time than the start of a new year.

The biggest decision I have made is to move to Scotland. It’s not going to happen in 2010, but the next twelve months are going to involve the preparation of making such a massive move. I’m thirty in February, so I’d love to be able to make it happen in 2011 - we’ll see, there’s a lot to sort out.

Then there’s the usual decisions, improve my health and wellbeing, get out more, learn more - all of which will help with the big decision of moving to Scotland in their own way.

So here goes, 2010 is going to be a year of improvement:

  • Improvement in my business (processes, quality, sales)
  • Improvement in my health (exercise more and eat less)
  • Improvement in my knowledge (learn javascript and catch up trends)
  • Improvement in my mood (get out more and have fun)

Now all I need to do is remind myself that I have achieved things in the past, made big decisions, been successful - I can do this. Bring on the new year and here’s to making stuff happen!
